The primary problem

The Primary Problem

Unite America is focused on addressing the biggest, solvable problem in our politics today. Partisan primaries disenfranchise millions of voters, producing politicians who do not represent the majority of voters.

So far in 2024, 78 percent of voters have elected 87 percent of Congress in party primaries. This is why Unite America is pushing for primary reforms to combat uncompetitive, unrepresentative elections that fuel polarization.
