Check out new polling results commissioned by Unite America.
According to a Citizen Data poll commissioned by Unite America, the American people overwhelmingly agree on two key principles of election reform: 91% believe that all voters should be able to vote for any candidate in every taxpayer-funded election, and 76% believe that candidates should have to earn majority support to win an election. The poll also unearths a striking disconnect: 70% of respondents believe that both of these statements are already true about our elections — despite the fact that they’re only a reality in the four states that have abolished partisan primaries: Alaska, California, Louisiana, and Washington.Citizen Data sampled 1,001 registered voters in April 2023 as part of its monthly omnibus survey. The margin of error is +/- 3.1%. Results are weighted on party ID, race, age, and education. For more information, contact press@uniteamerica.org.
